Treliske Hospital and TClarke – an ongoing story of partnership
Treve Murley is the TClarke Project Manager working on a series of ward refurbishments within the Tower Block fire safety compliance project at Treliske Hospital in Cornwall, with Principal Contractor BAM. He explains how TClarke’s unique position in the South West is driven by its frontline teams.
“What you see here is the embodiment of what we are at TClarke. The hospital knows us very well – and we know them. That’s not paper knowledge; that’s longstanding relationships between people who know and trust each other. It is knowledge at project team level and it ensures a project goes well.
“Our people know what a good healthcare installation should look like. We know all the details – from the RAMS, to liaison with nursing teams, to working in a live hospital environment. That knowledge is deep within our organisation and it results in a good job. We are currently working on an expanding series of projects at Treliske and across the region. These are our ‘bread and butter’ projects and we value them very highly. They also give our apprentices the chance to learn and build expertise in this sector.”
Craig Brown has been with TClarke for 29 years and serves as Electrical Site Manager for TClarke:
“The reality is that with TClarke, you know the project will be done right – and that if there is an issue, we can be relied upon to sort it. It’s a matter of pride to work for our NHS colleagues here, and we back that pride up with our capabilities and commitment to getting the job done.”
