We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team in the Southwest.
Reporting to the Design Manager and Divisional Director the Electrical Design Engineer shall carry out full electrical analysis and design from concept through to delivery on site of a project. They will access and ascertain key principles associated with the electrical elements of any given project and design systems to the agreed RIBA stage.
Working collaboratively with the wider design team internally as well as externally, providing technical advice to all parties as required.

Applicants must hold or be working towards an HND or higher in building services engineering or equivalent discipline (mechanical or electrical) and be IT literate including all Microsoft Office 365 products, Asta PowerProject, Revit, and Navisworks. Must also be able to use complex analysis software and 3D modelling software.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the below:
- Be able to assess and ascertain key principles associated with the electrical principles of any given project.
- Be able to Design systems to the agree RIBA stage as set out by Head of Design.
- Work collaboratively with wider design team within TClarke, this includes Mechanical disciplined design engineer and the wider Revit Team.
- Able to carry complex analysis of systems when inheriting Designs to develop from third party consultants and designers.
- The ability to understand complex analysis software.
- Ability to Co-ordinate with other services within the virtual 3D Revit environment.
- Provide technical advice to the project delivery team when required and assist with technical queries from the Pre-Construction department.
- Have the ability to carry out full electrical analysis and design from concept through to delivery on site.
- Be able to understand the reality of the design being conceived and how that will be implemented into a real life scenario.
- Liaise with all stakeholders including but not limited to customers, supply chain, TClarke employees, consultants to build and maintain close and successful relationships.
- Provide a technical review of all technical submittals that are to be produced by the project managers, in order to ensure that product selections are in line with design philosophy.
- Development of the design business with new an innovative ideas working on modern concepts and thinking outside the box.
- Undertake complex system drafting with the 3D Revit environment and be competent to work un-aided within Revit.
- Attend design meetings with a professional and competent manor, and have the ability to provide an un-biased technical opinion.
- Produce engineering schedules in the agreed format.
- Assist with the commission process should there be a system performance issue this is only from a remote technical analysis.
