TClarke are seeking fully qualified Mechanical Engineer to work alongside our established engineering department offering full engineering support to Project Manager’s and Project Director’s.

Qualified HNC/ HND in Mechanical Engineering

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Read, review, and understand a project specification to ascertain the full scope of works for a project.
  • Review consultants design drawings alongside the technical plant schedules to ensure the initial design meets with the full scope of works, identifying any potential discrepancies between the two.
  • Review consultants design drawings/schedules to check adequate information is included to enable all plant to be procured correctly and identify and potential VE options.
  • Review consultants design schematics to carry out checks such as pipework sizes, flow rates etc.
  • Compile detailed RFI’s with any clarifications that may be needed after reviewing design information.
  • Put together plant enquiry packages including relevant parts of the specification and technical schedules to send out to suppliers to obtain quotations.
  • Carry out technical & cost analysis of supplier quotations to select the correct equipment.
  • Produce detailed technical submittals of selected plant to issue for approval prior to ordering equipment.
  • Assist with CAD team with co-ordination of services for installation drawings by providing technical support and attending workshops.
  • Review working drawings to ensure adequate information is detailed to enable to site team to carry out the installation of services.
  • Assist the installation team during the construction phase of the project when required in terms of technical support.
  • Assist the project manager with producing scope documents for different trades to ensure all aspects of the scope of works are captured.
  • Review drawings to ensure all required valves, dampers, bypasses etc have been captured to enable the systems to be fully set up and commissioned.
  • Work alongside the commissioning team to assist in producing project specific testing and commissioning documents for the mechanical systems.
  • Liaise with manufacturers when it comes to site attendance for commissioning.
