Waldon Security are seeking a service engineer to join the team in St Austell. Working alone, or with other engineers within the team of motivated multi-disciplined engineers, you will be providing professional and dependable quality service to our customers maintaining a mix of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm systems and fire extinguishers in a timely professional manner throughout Cornwall and Plymouth
Requirements:
- Significant experience as a multi-disciplined fire & security engineer.
- Experience of Advanced, Apollo, CTec, Hochiki amongst other fire alarm systems preferred.
- Experience of networked access control systems such as TDSi, Gallagher, Paxton and audio & video entry systems preferred.
- Experience of intruder alarms and the relevant NSI codes of practice.
- Strong IT skills and understand networks and network connected devices.
- Knowledge of fire extinguisher servicing preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Servicing and repairs on various security systems including Advanced, Apollo and Hochiki, Texecom, Galaxy, Menvier, Hikvision, TDSi, Integra, Paxton, Gallagher.
- Servicing and installation of fire extinguishers.
- Completing necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner through electronic engineer reporting diary.
- Attend reactive calls and breakdowns and perform general maintenance work including tracing and rectification of faults.
- Participate in an on-call rota (one is seven).
