World Mental Health Day 2025

Across TClarke throughout the year we take mental health very seriously and have done so for years. This year – as we reisssue our Square Breathing Video, we also take time across the company to refocus everyone on the challenge.

Mental Health can sometimes be a tough subject to talk about for some people, especially with the supposed ‘stigma’ surrounding the topic. Often people think talking about mental health makes them look weak or unable to cope; but in fact, it’s the opposite.

Each year, there is a different topic for World Mental Health Day. This year is: ‘Access To Services – Mental Health In Catastrophes And Emergencies’.

Sometimes it seems like there is only negative news from Media Outlets and Social Media. Within recent years, tragic global events have been a mainstay of the news. Being continually exposed to the news can cause a sense of being overwhelmed, taking a toll on our mental health and leaving us feeling emotionally drained, anxious, helpless, guilty or scared.

The majority of this is viewed through our phones, but there are small changes that we can make which may help to reduce the amount of negative news we are exposed to:

• Turn off ‘Push’ Notifications

• Consider ‘Phone-Free’ Times or Set Time Limits

• Make changes to what Apps you’re using or what accounts you are following

Other Measures That Can Help

Small actions can make a huge difference to your own and others mental health, whether it be a conversation over coffee with a friend or colleague or taking time out to enjoy a hobby.

Understanding how to recognise your own signs and symptoms of Mental Health, as well as others, is as vital as checking your physical health. The following are some things you can do to maintain a goodlevel of mental health.

  • Exercise Regularly
