TClarke talent pipeline on display as Josh Aykiran wins Apprentice of the Year 2025

The TClarke family came together in London as it does every year for the final of the Apprentice of the Year. The 2025 winner was Josh Aykiran – a London apprentice. In his speech at the award ceremony, Group Managing Director Mike Crowder said :

“TClarke is a family. We work together to get the best results – not only for individuals but as a whole – and that includes bringing out the best in our subcontractors and supply chain who are on the journey with us to achieve the best results possible. Carter, Drew and Ethan are excellent finalists – but Josh just came through. Congratulations go to every one of them.”

All the apprentices were asked one question after the competition : ‘What has been special about your TClarke apprenticeship?’

Carter Kent

“When you ask, you don’t get short answers; you get full ones – broken down into detail – so you really learn. Even better, the person helping you can be one of the most experienced in the industry in their field. Where else can you get that expertise and that kind of help around you?”

Drew Nevill

“Thanks to Andy Richter and all the people who took time out of their days helping me. Why did they do it? I would call it loyalty. TClarke people had the same support during their apprenticeship and they pass it on. Actually, its what I do myself with new apprentices.”

Josh Aykiran

“Working on such massive jobs is amazing ! Just yesterday I was invited to work on the commissioning on one of the company’s biggest projects. The level of opportunity and experience you get here is like nowhere else. Trust is earned – and once it is earned it leads to big opportunity – that is what I love about TClarke.”

Ethan Nicholls

“Through a TClarke apprenticeship you build confidence. In fact I think the best thing about a TClarke apprenticeship is the support network of people you get. If you have tests or exams coming up, people will help you straight away. You grow up and you get strong skills and good habits – you come out with a real career.”

All four finalists in TClarke Apprentice of The Year 2025 are invited to join the company’s Future Leaders programme, putting them on a fast track to leadership training and development.
